  • MAP Testing is still going on to determine the areas of concerns and strengths of the students.
  • Thank you Mr. Goodwin, our principal , for the painted exterior doors. Amazing !
  • The read aloud story Max and Art  is focusing on patience.
  • Students in 5th grade are utilizing their chrome books to research the Aztec Empire.

  • Shoutout to 5th grade boys playing football are : Byrce, Darren, Anthony, Warren, Bruce, and Isaiah.

  • Students are getting adjusted to being in fourth and fifth grade
  • We will start responding to literature using the RACE Strategy. The Race Strategy teaches what good writers do naturally and can help answer short-response questions. It helps to maintain a formal style and make sure all parts of the question are answered with lots of detail.
  • My students were given a handout on the strategy ( please take a look at the handout ).
  • We are still working on a creative a positive respectful environment.

  • Implemented "Calming Corner" area in classroom to allow students to escape in a space when they are feeling overwhelmed and overworked
